Especially because ice cream is made of, well, cream, and that is not vegan. Well, I am here to tell you a beyond simple, and healthy ice cream recipe that is totally vegan. The ingredients are super simple, and this is a recipe that you can add anything you want to it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Ingredients:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">1 frozen banana</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">1/3 cup non-dairy milk (You can do any kind, I prefer soy milk)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Optional Extras:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">2 Tbs. PB2 (powdered peanut butter) and 1 Tbs. water.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">or</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">1/4 Teaspoon mint, vanilla, almond, etc. extract</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">or</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">1 Tbs. protein powder (any flavor)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/A_Banana_cluster.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/45/Soy_Non-Dairy_Milk_(5082414499).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"></span></a><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">Directions:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Simply put all the ingredients into the blender. You may need to move it around a bit, so if you do not have a Vitamix I would cut the banana pieces into smaller chunks.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I love to do this for an easy snack or dessert. It is surprisingly filling, especially if you add the protein powder. Bananas are a good blank canvas, so you can add almost anything to them! Here in Colorado it is starting to warm up, and this is a perfect recipe to enjoy on a nice spring day.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">As Always,</span><br />

This morning we hiked into a small canyon and repelled down two different rocks (using the word "rock" in a relaxed sense). Last year we just rock climbed, so canyoneering was a whole new ordeal. Skipping all the details, in summary we went with another couple (the husband was an ex-army repelling teacher) and a guide. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SAU9FQnc3s8/VRC6j1VSxGI/AAAAAAAAA8M/Vzh7XDP0oMI/s1600/L1070576.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SAU9FQnc3s8/VRC6j1VSxGI/AAAAAAAAA8M/Vzh7XDP0oMI/s1600/L1070576.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">The picture quality inside this first canyon was to be desired, so instead I am only posting the photo I have from above. In this photo you can see our guide, setting up the ropes to go down into what seems like a big, never ending, hole. It was also extremely windy, and I can still feel the sand in my hair as I write this post. Like many things, the worst part of repelling was getting into the mindset of relaxation and enjoyment. Another hard part was leaning back, into your harness, into a very unnatural position. Putting these things aside, looking back repelling was a very liberating experience. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fXEUppKV38c/VRC9TxYm5NI/AAAAAAAAA8Y/rY0zOMWYGXk/s1600/L1070659.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fXEUppKV38c/VRC9TxYm5NI/AAAAAAAAA8Y/rY0zOMWYGXk/s1600/L1070659.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Here is a photo from inside the canyon (try to ignore the slight graininess). After it rains this whole thing turns into a huge waterfall, which would be amazing, yet frightening to see. The next repel was a short walking distance from this one, but looked a whole heck of a lot scarier. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-isDDlhipoTE/VRC-J_6apMI/AAAAAAAAA8g/EsyGZS0wkps/s1600/L1070700.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-isDDlhipoTE/VRC-J_6apMI/AAAAAAAAA8g/EsyGZS0wkps/s1600/L1070700.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">This photo does not do the repel, or the rock justice. The first kind of "bridge" is actually an arch (Morning Glory), and we repelled down the wall next to it. The following photos are from when my dad captured some of our descents down.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I am happier. I am less anxious about everything in general. I have more energy. Overall, I am just...better. This may seem cheesy, but it is truly because I have been eating healthier. No, I haven't made any drastic changes, but the small ones that I have made have made a huge difference.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">1.) <b>I drink loads of water</b></span><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c9/Trollfjorden_002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c9/Trollfjorden_002.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></span></a></td></tr>

</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I think it was around December when I realized that I was drinking almost no water on a daily basis. I was really only getting my daily water intake from my glass or two of tea I had (as well as from my food). THAT IS REALLY BAD! I have now been drinking about 80 oz. a day, and obviously it has made a world of difference, because I was basically living on no water. Not only have I lost any water weight I was unknowingly carrying, but my skin looks lightyears better. So, if you just can't seem to lose those extra few pounds, chug some water. About 64 oz. each day should do it :)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">2.) <b>Yoga</b></span><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/60/AcroYoga_Jam.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/60/AcroYoga_Jam.jpg" height="213" width="320" /></span></a></td></tr>

</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b><br /></b>
Every night I have made it part of my routine to do 15 min. of yoga. All I do is search "Yoga" into my YouTube search engine and find a video that suits my fancy. Yoga is so good for toning, and it relaxes me and prepares me for bed. I enjoy "Yoga with Adriene", because she does all types of yoga on YouTube. Some nights I am not in the mood for strength yoga, so I might do one of her flexibility videos. Plus, I now have a reason to buy super adorable yoga outfits and mats.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">3.) <b>Homemade bread</b></span><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2b/Strucla_sweet_bread.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2b/Strucla_sweet_bread.jpg" height="232" width="320" /></span></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: xx-small;">By Taken by fir0002 | flagstaffotos.com.au Canon 20D + Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 (Own work) [GFDL 1.2 (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/fdl-1.2.html)], via Wikimedia Commons</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">My mom has recently started to make homemade bread, and I could pretty easily say I am in heaven. Not only does it give us so much freedom as to what we put in it, but we actually <i>know </i>everything that goes into it. And I mean, nothing beats warm bread from right out of the oven. Homemade bread for me tends to be a lot more filling then regular bread, so if I have one slice a day it is plenty. If you don't have the time to make bread, try and buy bread from Whole Foods, or better yet, from a local bakery.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">4.) <b>Writing in a Journal</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">This change is not new to me, I have always had a journal. What is new is that I write down what I eat at each meal, how much I exercise, and how much water I drank for that specific day. You can also try the apps, there are many of them. I personally am more of a fan of the old fashioned way, mostly because I have a reason to buy a cute pocket journal. I like to glance at what I have eaten, to see if I need some more greens or fruit.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I am sorry that I have not been posting recently, time slipped away from me!!!! I hope you are all enjoying your Spring Break, mine is next week :)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">As Always,</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Anyway, that was kind of an intro into this post. Earlier this week a few friends and I went out to lunch after our first day of finals. We had sushi, where they tried unagi, or eel rolls. I, did not. After that we went to the tea shop and to some other stores. </span></span> <br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">To be honest mine isn't in this because I was drinking it, oops. But this shop is the cutest thing. It is on main street in my town and it is kind of like a tea house. It is cozy and great for a place to just go to and chill. You can do what one of my friends did and order a pot of tea to have right there.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I was going to write about ways to keep calm and organized during finals week. It turned into this instead. Basically it was 4:00 in the afternoon yesterday and I was studying until I could no longer stay focused. I decided to take a break. This break turned into an hour long photo journey. My advice for you during finals week is to not overwork yourself. If you are stressed and overwhelmed you won't be able to absorb the info you are studying. Just take a deep breath. Go on a walk. Or run. Or anything that makes you happy. I took this break and then studied some more. Now I am in my PJ's at 1:00 in the afternoon doing this post. Once I am done, I will go back to studying. I promise, you'll do great.</span></span><br />

There are several reasons, but the main one is simply blogger's block (like writer's block, but for this blog). I haven't been able to come up with any good ideas for things to post, so I just haven't posted. I am here to say that this cycle of having no idea what to write is over! Now, on with my post.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">For the past semester I have been in art class. Why you ask? Good question. I have little to no talent when it comes to visual arts, but I signed up for the class anyway. Our first assignment was to draw a self portrait, and I may scar you with the end results later. We then did a mask project, and then a printing project. We are now onto photography, which means I might be able to show off some pictures I have taken! I figured I would give you guys a sneak peek into what pictures I'll be turning in, because in all honesty, I care about my reader's and fellow blogger's opinion on my photos more than my art teachers. In the end we have to turn in three abstract photos, three portraits, and three still life.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-esF1DTRqAAw/VISSyiXxiwI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/8QHOxSUeUWs/s1600/wall%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-esF1DTRqAAw/VISSyiXxiwI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/8QHOxSUeUWs/s1600/wall%2B1.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Abstract 1.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I thought this photo was interesting because of its dimensions. It almost makes you dizzy when you look at it from the bottom up. When we were walking around I just saw the brick wall and sat down and put my camera right up against the wall. Did I get strange looks? Yes. Was it worth it? I think so. </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HxHyPBss5lQ/VIST63P_zMI/AAAAAAAAAxY/MnEz8kIp8rc/s1600/Paint%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HxHyPBss5lQ/VIST63P_zMI/AAAAAAAAAxY/MnEz8kIp8rc/s1600/Paint%2B1.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Abstract 2.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Just like the brick one, this is kind of a shift focus with the subject being the purple paint bottle. Originally I thought this was going to turn out bad, because I didn't think a box of paint would be that interesting. When I took this I rotated the image and really started to enjoy it. The stains on the paint bottles themselves add to the photo, as well as the paintings in the back. I took this in the art room, which is probably pretty obvious.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uQL4sx13gD4/VISrIfG_9jI/AAAAAAAAAxo/wd2jY6reMBY/s1600/Tree%2BTexture%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uQL4sx13gD4/VISrIfG_9jI/AAAAAAAAAxo/wd2jY6reMBY/s1600/Tree%2BTexture%2B1.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Abstract 3.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">For my last abstract photo I chose something that was from nature. This is the stump of a tree, and I tried to focus on the leaf in it. I saturated it a bit, but other than that there are no filters on it. In this photo I really like the various textures in it. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M0QiiTWw338/VIStUaeP9_I/AAAAAAAAAx0/zRBc_U56j3o/s1600/Portrait%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M0QiiTWw338/VIStUaeP9_I/AAAAAAAAAx0/zRBc_U56j3o/s1600/Portrait%2B1.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Portrait 1.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">This first portrait is of my friend Katie (hey Katie if you're reading this :)). I took this photo on a VERY flimsy bridge near my house. In a perfect world I would have liked a bit more color in the trees in the background, but that would have taken more photo editing. For this project our teacher wants our photos to be as raw as possible.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5o9DU87dDJk/VISuq2HW0PI/AAAAAAAAAyA/QAf3rxR1cM4/s1600/portrait%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5o9DU87dDJk/VISuq2HW0PI/AAAAAAAAAyA/QAf3rxR1cM4/s1600/portrait%2B2.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Portrait 2.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">If you see the bench in the other photo, that is where this was taken. The colors in this are a lot stronger than the other one in my opinions. The sky, her hair, the bushes, etc. The mood in both of these is kind of mysterious or peaceful.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DIYkgwa-a2k/VISwCDTmWWI/AAAAAAAAAyM/ng4KdZQynbY/s1600/bee%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DIYkgwa-a2k/VISwCDTmWWI/AAAAAAAAAyM/ng4KdZQynbY/s1600/bee%2B1.jpg" height="292" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Portrait 3.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Remember this? I used this photo in my camping post, but she said I can use it for the project as well. To be honest this is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken. I have not edited this at all, and the colors are still very vibrant. To take this picture I thought I was going to get stung.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Still Life.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I am still working on this part, but when I finish them I will post them! </span></span><br />

It is beautiful and I love it :)</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O27CFkqw-ns/VA5EgCa_yNI/AAAAAAAAAuA/zKl2GfsMOIQ/s1600/NOT%2BMAKEUP%2B.JPG.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O27CFkqw-ns/VA5EgCa_yNI/AAAAAAAAAuA/zKl2GfsMOIQ/s1600/NOT%2BMAKEUP%2B.JPG.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Okay, maybe the picture is a bit much, but it gets my point across! Their are some simple things that you can do wrong when putting on makeup that will lead to some not so pleasant results.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">1: The Dry Skin Monster</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I personally can't use foundation. No matter how much moisturizer I use or what time of year it is my skin is always too dry. When I apply it, it looks flaky and gross. No matter what skin type you are, ALWAYS use moisturizer. I use concealer, but only small amounts so that it doesn't stand out. To help keep the dry skin monster away from you, use an exfoliator several times a week to keep your skin smooth.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">2: Not Changing Your Foundation</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I don't have this problem, but when I see girls at the beach with full foundation, I cringe. Basically, in the summer, keep it light with a BB cream or no foundation at all. In the colder months use a fuller coverage foundation to lock it moisture. Plus, your skin tone changes! You wear darker concealer and foundation/BB cream in the summer and lighter foundation, BB cream, etc. in the winter.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">3: Too Much Blush</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">We all want that rosy glow, but we don't want to look like a barbie. Before you apply blush, lightly pinch your cheeks in the area you want to apply the blush. The natural pink/red you get from your cheek is what you should aim to create with your blush.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">4: Unblended Makeup</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">When you do your makeup, make sure you can actually see what you're doing. You may think that you blended in your concealer, but when you step outside you might see some streaks. Use your ring finger to blend, it is the most supple and it is just the easiest to use.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">5: Shine Overload</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Their are several ways you can make this happen. You skip out on primer, or you use too many luminizing products. To prevent this, use face primer and powder (only on your oily areas, DON'T dump it anywhere you please). If you want to, apply highlighter to your cheekbones, but don't go Bon Jovi with it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">6: Powder Crazy:</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">It is easy to pack on the powder all over. When you're done, you might look like a judge from the 1800's wearing a white wig. Use a brush and create light, fluffy circles and apply the product to the areas you need it. For most it is in the T-zone and under the eyes (to set your concealer). Throughout the day use oil blotting sheets, and maybe apply some more powder mid day.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9HWJvGTCFw/VA5QmW3Zh_I/AAAAAAAAAuk/rpSAOZcS9Fk/s1600/NOT%2BEAR%2B2%2B.JPG.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9HWJvGTCFw/VA5QmW3Zh_I/AAAAAAAAAuk/rpSAOZcS9Fk/s1600/NOT%2BEAR%2B2%2B.JPG.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I may have had a little too much fun taking these pictures...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

For example, last weekend we went camping. It has been a tradition for as long as I can remember. When we camp I love to visit places all around the camp site. Here are some of the things I discovered.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I took all these pictures at an old cemetery, one that is 121 years old. It has all kinds of people there, from ones who died this year to those who died 121 years ago. There is various sections such as boot hill, a Catholic Hill, a Protestant forest and a small Jewish section. You feel like you're walking through a time machine when you visit this place, and it is in a beautiful location. Their are small ponds everywhere and you can see different mountains in the distance.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">All of these photos except the first one are untouched. I took them and then posted them! I also updated the "Shopping" page, so go check it out!</span><br />

<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e2/Noe_classroom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e2/Noe_classroom.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">1</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Going back to school can be a fun, yet nerve racking time. Every year I always hear the same advice from friends and family. "Join clubs! Join sports! Be outgoing!" You know, the typical pep talks. Are any of your friends or family like this?</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">This post is meant to help you all become a little more pumped for school, and a little less nervous. These tips are for if you are going into a new school, or even if you're not. Tips marked with a * are for if you are going to a new school (middle school high school, transfer, etc.) The rest work for anyone!</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Tip #1: <b>Lock screen your schedule</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">This tip is for everyone. Even if it isn't your first year at the school, you probably won't know exactly where each of your classes are. Before you go to the first day, take a pic of your schedule and turn it into your lock screen. This way you can easily look at your phone and know where to go.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b> </b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Tip #2: <b>Map out your classes</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I think one of the biggest reasons that we get nervous for school is because we are afraid of getting lost. Before I give you this tip, know that if you get lost, it isn't a big deal. You won't be the only one, just find the nearest teacher and show them your schedule. Now what I like to do before school is look to see if any rooms are near each other. If they are, I highlight them with the same color. This way I know at least where one or two rooms are. Also, if you can, get a hold of your school map and highlight your path. Trust me, it works.</span></span><br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f3/Kmt_hilversum.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f3/Kmt_hilversum.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></span></span></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">2</span></span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> Tip #3: <b>Break the ice</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">When you get to your first class, don't sit by yourself. Sit near someone, even if you don't know them. Give them a small smile and say hi. If you have to do anything with a partner, ask if they want to work with you.<b> </b> Then, at the end of class, if you feel comfortable enough, ask to compare schedules.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">*Tip #4: <b>Bring your own lunch</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">For the first few days try to bring your own lunch. This way you have plenty of time to find a seat. You are also in a new environment, so try to get used to your surroundings before you try to conquer the lunch line. Plus, you'll save money!!</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Tip #5: <b>New Friends</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">People change. So do friends. It is a new year, so you may lose some friends, but you will also meet many new ones! Try to be open, which I know can be hard. I am very shy, but if you close yourself off people will have a harder time getting to know you. One tip I have is to smile. If someone sits down next to you, smile.<b> </b>Not a huge freaky smile, but a quick small one so the first impression a person gets of you is a good one. Also, join something! I know, everyone says this. It really is a good way to meet people. Whatever club or sport you join, everyone else who is there also likes what you are interested. It also gets you out of the house. I personally am in the Key Club and Student Council.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>My Own Experience:</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I hadn't ridden a bus in three years, so riding one was foreign to me. In all honesty, I didn't like it all. I have gotten used to it, earphones and music are lifesavers. When it comes to classes, high school isn't like the movies where kids can talk or fall asleep without the teacher noticing. Overall, the worst part about the week was lunch. I had the opposite lunch as all my friends, so I sat by the fist people I could see. I did this for a couple days until I finally met some people who I could sit comfortably by. Another thing you should know is that high school is huge. So if you're worried about gossip, it won't be nearly as bad as middle school. People mature in high school, and it makes for a much more adult environment.</span></span><br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/ZambianSchool4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/ZambianSchool4.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></span></span></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">3</span></span></td></tr>

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b> </b>What advice do you have for students going back to school? If you're still on break I hope you enjoy your final few days. I have also been nominated for the Liebster Award, so if you would like me to look at your blog leave the link down below. I would love to look at your blogs to nominate some of you!</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">As August rolls around, so do the back to school commercials. We start to feel both nervous and excited about the new school year ahead of us. Summer is waving its last goodbye, and fall is whispering in our ears. Slowly we start to await the time when we can put on cozy sweaters and drink warm cocoa while watching the leaves fall.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Now is a time to reflect on all the memories we, or I, in this case, made this summer. Other than watching countless seasons of shows on Netflix, I also went to Maine. Instead of writing down every little thing I did, I decided to just post tons of photos with captions. *Note* This is not me bragging about my vacation. I know that I am very fortunate to be able to go on these trips. I am posting these pictures for all of you to see as well as a diary/memory type thing.</span></span><br />

From Northern Maine, to a small coastal town, to Quebec, I spent time in all the places I love. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nARPQAcNInA/U6zR1QRv2pI/AAAAAAAAAh0/bhKrRljyffE/s1600/Scrub1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nARPQAcNInA/U6zR1QRv2pI/AAAAAAAAAh0/bhKrRljyffE/s1600/Scrub1.jpg" height="520" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I love anything that makes my skin feel amazing. So naturally, scrubs fall into that category. Sadly, they are usually around $20 each. For years now I have been making my own scrubs, and I adore them! They are easy to make, and you can control what you put in them! </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Step 1: Choose your base</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">You have two options. Salt or sugar. I use sugar in the summer, because it is less harsh on the skin. In the winter my skin needs a deeper exfoliation, so during the cold months I use salt. Now sugar is a natural humectant, which means it draws moisture from your surroundings and pulls it into your skin. That is why this is perfect for the shower, because their is plenty of moisture there! Sugar is also a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, which breaks down the bonds of skin cells, creating younger looking skin. It is also good to use this scrub at night, because your skin will be more prone to sun damage after the scrub.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Step 2: Choose your oil</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">My favorite is canola oil, because it doesn't have a strong smell. You can also use olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, etc. I don't like olive oil, because it has a strong smell. Now canola oil helps to prevent aging, acne, and spots. Sometimes I get bumps right above my elbows, and this gets rid of them right away. The oil also helps to moisturize and give your skin a smooth touch.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Step 3: Choose your scent(s)</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">For this post I used mint and lemon, but you can do anything! I also like grapefruit, lavender, and vanilla. I used fresh mint, peppermint oil, and lemon zest(don't use the juice!). Use any essential oil of your choice. If you don't have any essential oils, almond, vanilla, or any kind of extract will work.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Step 4: Create your scrub!!!</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Start with pouring you base into a bowl. I only did a small amount because I'm leaving soon for vacation. Usually I do about a 1/2 cup. Next add your oil. How much you add is up to you, go by spoonful until you get the consistency you want. It can be like sand, or like syrup. I like mine in between, so that I can pick it up, but I like it kind of runny. This usually takes about 6 spoonfuls. Lastly, add your essential oil,leaves,zest,etc.. I store mine in a small mason jar with a rubber lid and keep it in my shower. After you use your scrub use lotion to lock in moisture.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I am back from vacation! School is starting, so I won't be posting as frequently as before, but it will be more than I was doing on vacation!</span></span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o4KiQJTGBsY/U7I2SWn3AKI/AAAAAAAAAk0/pO5uTOY8Bjw/s1600/DIY+shirt+10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o4KiQJTGBsY/U7I2SWn3AKI/AAAAAAAAAk0/pO5uTOY8Bjw/s1600/DIY+shirt+10.jpg" height="514" width="640" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">When I look in my closet I see plentiful amounts of T-shirts that aren't the most fashionable, but hold a lot of memories. I decided to revamp some of these to make them more wearable and trendy. This is the first one, with more to come!</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H-xmxRVDOqk/U7I2ok9JPQI/AAAAAAAAAk8/Jc5VuR6BXE0/s1600/DIY+Shirt+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H-xmxRVDOqk/U7I2ok9JPQI/AAAAAAAAAk8/Jc5VuR6BXE0/s1600/DIY+Shirt+1.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">All you will need is an old T-shirt, scissors, and a pencil.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j937G6vJG0E/U7I2zOF7UqI/AAAAAAAAAlE/ax4QzGGlKl4/s1600/DIY+shirt+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j937G6vJG0E/U7I2zOF7UqI/AAAAAAAAAlE/ax4QzGGlKl4/s1600/DIY+shirt+2.jpg" height="280" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Flip your shirt over so you can clearly see the seams. We are going to start by making our T-shirt a muscle shirt, so we have to cut off the sleeves and part of the collar. I recommend you use a pencil, I used a sharpie so you can see where to make your marks. </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3n6rtHOVp_s/U7I3JGhxqfI/AAAAAAAAAlM/TBdBL91JG0Y/s1600/dIY+Shirt+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3n6rtHOVp_s/U7I3JGhxqfI/AAAAAAAAAlM/TBdBL91JG0Y/s1600/dIY+Shirt+3.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Once you cut on the lines, the places where you cut will look kind of torn up. Simply tug both ends of the sleeve and/or collar to curl the edges a bit to hide the rough edges.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KBP0yU6wVtw/U7I3ajTkdwI/AAAAAAAAAlU/0yJ3oNlCwIM/s1600/DIY+shirt+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KBP0yU6wVtw/U7I3ajTkdwI/AAAAAAAAAlU/0yJ3oNlCwIM/s1600/DIY+shirt+5.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Next you want to cut a horizontal line up both sides of your shirt. Cut from the bottom up to until you reach the top and you can pull the waist seams away from each other (like the picture above).</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VI0EOkmOuLs/U7I33Ca5LmI/AAAAAAAAAlc/MA2A_jY1L1o/s1600/DIY+shirt+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VI0EOkmOuLs/U7I33Ca5LmI/AAAAAAAAAlc/MA2A_jY1L1o/s1600/DIY+shirt+6.jpg" height="400" width="357" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">On both sides cut about 1.5 inch long strips that are a little less than an inch wide. You can really cut these as wide or long as you want, as long as you can make a double knot with them.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t6DMrGN_UiQ/U7I4JmPYwII/AAAAAAAAAlk/hB78YSDFH6I/s1600/DIY+shirt+8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t6DMrGN_UiQ/U7I4JmPYwII/AAAAAAAAAlk/hB78YSDFH6I/s1600/DIY+shirt+8.jpg" height="333" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> Tie the top layer of the strip with the bottom. Make sure you do a double knot, or everything will come undone (I speak from experience). When you finish, tug the bottom and top part of the shirt to stretch everything out.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WNFxI7x959A/U7I4uCOI40I/AAAAAAAAAl0/oancUXkbyUE/s1600/diy+shirt+13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WNFxI7x959A/U7I4uCOI40I/AAAAAAAAAl0/oancUXkbyUE/s1600/diy+shirt+13.jpg" height="252" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-l4NKe5kI6DI/U7I4o7dw1UI/AAAAAAAAAls/SAnFYBEWh9g/s1600/DIY+SHIRT+11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-l4NKe5kI6DI/U7I4o7dw1UI/AAAAAAAAAls/SAnFYBEWh9g/s1600/DIY+SHIRT+11.jpg" height="388" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I like using this type of shirt on top of my bathing suit because it is light and easy to take off. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I am sorry for the all the typos in my previous post! <br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Recently I have been addicted to making biscotti<span style="color: black;">,
and I have created the ultimate recipe. Each biscotti is about 85 calories,
and is very low in fat. The ingredients you'll need are few and simple.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">Ingredients:</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-3 cups all purpose flour</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1 cup sugar</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-2 large eggs</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1 egg white</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1/2 teaspoon baking soda</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1 teaspoon baking powder</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1 teaspoon </span><span style="color: black;">clementine or orange rind (I zest the entire clementine)</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1 teaspoon vanilla extract</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1/4 teaspoon almond extract</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-3/4 cup unsalted almonds </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1/4 cup plus 2 1/2 tablespoons of water </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1 teaspoon salt</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-Extra Water </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">Optional:</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">-1/4 teaspoon maple extract</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">- 1.5 teaspoons of poppy seed</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">Right
off the bat you can see that there is no oil or butter. I also take
away one yolk from an egg to eliminate some cholesterol. If you use a salted nut like pistachios add only a small pinch of salt. Now
the orange rind is not optional, because I've tried it without, and it
does not taste nearly as good. The maple extract is optional because it
can be hard to find, but it just adds more depth to the dough. The poppy
seeds add color, but not much taste. Now before you start, know that
this dough will be extremely sticky. Make sure you are always flouring your surface and spraying your hands with nonstick spray.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">Directions:</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">1.) Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">2.) In a mixing bowl, mix together your flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, poppy seeds, and almonds.</span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-krSSM2ly_pw/U7L_-eeEOoI/AAAAAAAAAmg/LK8d0CxxO_Q/s1600/Biscotti1&2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-krSSM2ly_pw/U7L_-eeEOoI/AAAAAAAAAmg/LK8d0CxxO_Q/s1600/Biscotti1&2.jpg" height="320" width="640" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">3.) Using a spatula or spoon give your dry ingredients a small mix. </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">4.) </span></span><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">In a separate bowl, mix together your eggs (including egg white),
water, clementine or orange rind, vanilla extract, almond extract, and
maple extract.</span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r4mo0eNg08U/U7MARnoqMSI/AAAAAAAAAmo/RmyodBEXD-E/s1600/Biscotti3&4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r4mo0eNg08U/U7MARnoqMSI/AAAAAAAAAmo/RmyodBEXD-E/s1600/Biscotti3&4.jpg" height="320" width="640" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">5.) With the mixer on medium speed, slowly add your wet ingredients into the mixer.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">6.) Mix until everything is mixed together and your dough is formed, like the picture below. </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-282edr73qAQ/U7MAZEYd9DI/AAAAAAAAAmw/qVOpE-tV_Ss/s1600/Biscotti5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-282edr73qAQ/U7MAZEYd9DI/AAAAAAAAAmw/qVOpE-tV_Ss/s1600/Biscotti5.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">It may take a couple of extra tablespoons of water for the dough to form. Add it slowly and wait and see if it helped.</span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">7.) Flour your surface and hands and put the batter onto your surface. Remember, the batter will be sticky.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">8.) Spray your hands with nonstick spray, as well as the surface you will be placing the dough on.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">9.) Place some flour onto the same surface where you sprayed the dough. I ran out of flour so I used nonstick spray, but usually I only use flour. </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">10.) Place half of the dough onto the surface.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">11.)
Re-flour(or re-spray) your hands and take one half and place it on your floured
surface. You want to make sure you re-flour it so that it doesn't stick
to your surface. Apply more flour (or spray) to the top. Using your hands, press
the dough into about an 8 inch log that is about 2.5 inches wide, and
about 1/2 an inch thick. Put your log onto your cookie sheet (make sure
your cookie sheet is sprayed with nonstick spray).</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ykIHKdU_bLY/U7MAjrxx-_I/AAAAAAAAAm4/baUWgvS-QHE/s1600/Biscotti7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ykIHKdU_bLY/U7MAjrxx-_I/AAAAAAAAAm4/baUWgvS-QHE/s1600/Biscotti7.jpg" height="337" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">When you put the log onto the sheet it will not want to come off your surface. Use your fingers as a spatula and get under the log as best you can. When you place it onto the sheet simply reshape it to how it was.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">12.) Repeat the same process with the other half, and make sure to re-flour(or re-spray) everything the same way you did for the other half.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">13.) Make sure the logs are placed horizontally on the baking sheet, both separated from each other,</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">14.) Using a baking brush or paper towel, lightly brush off as much flour as you can off from the tops.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">15.) Bake for <b>30 minutes</b> and then take out of the oven and let them cool for <b>10 minutes</b>.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">16.)
Place one log on a cutting board. Using a serrated knife, cut the dough
horizontally into about 1in. thick biscotti's. Place the biscotti's
onto the cookie sheet.</span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">17.) Bake for <b>15 min</b>, and then flip the biscotti's over to get an even cook time.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">18.) After you flip them, bake for another <b>10 min</b>. </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">19.) Take them out of the oven and let them cool completely.</span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rMEMz4QKDpo/U7MBKYYYkGI/AAAAAAAAAnY/O5pLekvEC04/s1600/Biscoti+10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rMEMz4QKDpo/U7MBKYYYkGI/AAAAAAAAAnY/O5pLekvEC04/s1600/Biscoti+10.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;">I'm
telling you, these with a cup of tea are literally heaven. When you put
the logs on the cookie sheet you may have to reform them a bit, and
don't be discouraged by the dough. These are worth it!!!! I also love replacing the almonds with cashews and replacing the orange with lemon. The great thing about these is that you can make them however you want. If you're feeling fancy, melt some chocolate with water and drizzle it over the top.</span></span></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7UAZrPpT3L0/U67lvNI4SNI/AAAAAAAAAkg/EqyGQnugX00/s1600/SM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7UAZrPpT3L0/U67lvNI4SNI/AAAAAAAAAkg/EqyGQnugX00/s1600/SM.jpg" height="200" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">For as long as I can remember, smokey eyes have seemed to intimidating to even try. They look beautiful, but I felt as though if I did it I would end up with something that resembled a black eye. Although after watching several smokey eye videos on youtube, I decided to give it a go. I have attempted this look several times, and have come up with just the right look. It is easy, and is perfect for a night out. I <span class="spell"></span> apologize in advance for the horrible quality of these photos. My tripod moved each time I took a pic and made the photo blurry.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">To do this look you'll need a matte white shadow as your base. You could also use light yellow, pink, etc. You'll also need a dark matte brown eyeshadow as well as a black matte eyeshadow. As for the brushes, all you need is a fluffy brush that you can use to blend as well as put on the shadow, and an eyeliner brush. You'll also need a piece of tape.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Start by priming your eyes. Then take your matte light colored shadow and apply it all over your lid and above the crease. When your eyes are open you should be able to still see some color.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TbHJFhe6Kgg/U67b-aVgl_I/AAAAAAAAAjY/BcK-G8vFuzA/s1600/Smokey+Eye+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TbHJFhe6Kgg/U67b-aVgl_I/AAAAAAAAAjY/BcK-G8vFuzA/s1600/Smokey+Eye+1.jpg" height="184" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> Next you want to take a piece of tape and put it on your hand. Rip it off once or twice to remove some of the stick. Then, place it under your eye, following your bottom lash line.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nUE_HJBW_5E/U67eyy70hQI/AAAAAAAAAjs/SraQAV7C9Zo/s1600/Smokey+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nUE_HJBW_5E/U67eyy70hQI/AAAAAAAAAjs/SraQAV7C9Zo/s1600/Smokey+2.jpg" height="137" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Using your same brush, apply the dark brown along the edge of your eyelid by the tape. Apply the same color to your crease and blend it all out. Make sure you don't put too much of the brown on the eyelid. In the photo below after I took this photo I then blended until my crease and edge of my eyelid were the same amount of dark as the inner part of my crease in this picture.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b5p4tsau8w0/U67gYoahQUI/AAAAAAAAAj8/LEDnKOZXVRk/s1600/Smokey+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b5p4tsau8w0/U67gYoahQUI/AAAAAAAAAj8/LEDnKOZXVRk/s1600/Smokey+3.jpg" height="134" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Next use your black eyeshadow and eyeliner brush and line your top and bottom lashes with a thin line. Go back to the brush you used before and smudge the liner out. This brush should still have some brown on it, so when you smudge the bottom lashes you will also be bringing some color down. The last step is to clean your brush and go back to the light matte color. Add a bit of this to the center of your eyelid. Only a little though, and then blend it out. To finish the look curl and add mascara to your lashes.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9lv5jHkRTK8/U67hnIedrBI/AAAAAAAAAkE/Na0_QU9_GUs/s1600/Smokey+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9lv5jHkRTK8/U67hnIedrBI/AAAAAAAAAkE/Na0_QU9_GUs/s1600/Smokey+4.jpg" height="142" width="640" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">On my eyes I did two different types of smokey eye. On the left the brown is focused on the outermost part of my lid, and it continues off the lid. I did this by applying the brown eyeshadow right next to the tape. On the right I kept the color concentrated on the lid, and brought some of the brown onto the lid.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--gfxJBZa3dI/U6pAaZSj8AI/AAAAAAAAAhM/zro7kMSEuaM/s1600/Purse4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--gfxJBZa3dI/U6pAaZSj8AI/AAAAAAAAAhM/zro7kMSEuaM/s1600/Purse4.jpg" height="432" width="640" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Let me start this post by saying where my purse is from. It is a Vera Bradley purse, and the pattern is in summer cottage. I don't know the exact style, but the pattern is from a couple seasons back. I love this purse because it is perfect for summer. It fits on my shoulder well and the colors are adorable!</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sMGxawcInKk/U6pBDtePe6I/AAAAAAAAAhU/svCertQPZ3Q/s1600/Purse2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sMGxawcInKk/U6pBDtePe6I/AAAAAAAAAhU/svCertQPZ3Q/s1600/Purse2.jpg" height="502" width="640" /></a></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RS-n6nU1WKA/U6pBhpLAv0I/AAAAAAAAAhk/75QEmLu8O5s/s1600/Purse78.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RS-n6nU1WKA/U6pBhpLAv0I/AAAAAAAAAhk/75QEmLu8O5s/s1600/Purse78.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Now I would be lying if I said that all of these items are neatly organized in my purse, because they aren't. Recently I cleaned out this purse, which is why there aren't many items here. On the front of my purse is a pocket where I keep my receipts, because I always think I'll need them for something. It is one of my hoarder qualities. In the inside of my purse there are a total of 6 pockets, and I keep different things in each one. In one I keep my powder and hand cream. In another i keep my lip gloss and pens (random, I know). In the last I keep some perfume tattoos. I got a free sample of these a long time ago, because when I was 13 I was obsessed with signing up for free samples. These ones are temporary tattoos that smell like the perfume, which I think is cool. In another pocket I keep my sunglasses. In the main compartment of my purse I keep everything else. This includes my wallet, EOS lip balm, notebook, and Russian vocab book. The EOS is an awkward shape, so it won't fit in any pockets. I use my notebook to write down any ideas that pop into my head. I'm learning Russian, so I like to have my Russian vocab book so I can look at it when I have some free time. Another thing I bring with me is my phone, but it was charging when I took these photos.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I will have a youtube video up soon to accompany this post. If any of you have blog posts that you want me too see leave the link to them below, I love finding new blogs to follow!</span></span><br />

This mask will add shine to your hair as well as make your hair less frizzy and more smooth. I use this mask about 3 times a week, and I can tell a major difference in my hair. The ingredients you'll need are few and simple. They are olive oil, plain yogurt, and honey. </span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">The first thing you want to do is pour one tablespoon of olive oil into a small bowl.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YxkawqT7P_g/U6dXjXSLkWI/AAAAAAAAAc0/p0C2pKguRhk/s1600/L1050014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YxkawqT7P_g/U6dXjXSLkWI/AAAAAAAAAc0/p0C2pKguRhk/s1600/L1050014.JPG" height="293" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">To the same bowl add two tablespoons of honey. Add the honey to the same tablespoon measure so that it comes out easily.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xSe5qiYKouQ/U6dXx5az0XI/AAAAAAAAAc8/VV0SHwH1KWU/s1600/L1050016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xSe5qiYKouQ/U6dXx5az0XI/AAAAAAAAAc8/VV0SHwH1KWU/s1600/L1050016.JPG" height="285" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Lastly, add two tablespoons of plain yogurt.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IIKebCfj9T8/U6dX_ZWCj7I/AAAAAAAAAdE/aSnI-rvXV3Q/s1600/L1050017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IIKebCfj9T8/U6dX_ZWCj7I/AAAAAAAAAdE/aSnI-rvXV3Q/s1600/L1050017.JPG" height="247" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Mix everything together until well combined. It is okay if there are a few clumps of yogurt throughout.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oA_Fcn0_gGM/U6dYMMFGR6I/AAAAAAAAAdM/hlqSZgtX8ac/s1600/L1050021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oA_Fcn0_gGM/U6dYMMFGR6I/AAAAAAAAAdM/hlqSZgtX8ac/s1600/L1050021.JPG" height="267" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">To apply the mixture make sure you are either wearing something you don't care about or have a towel under your hair. I like to start by dipping the ends of my hair right into the bowl. I then put a latex glove on and just pour the mask all throughout my hair and distribute it evenly. Don't go above your ears because if you get the mask on your roots they make get greasy. Leave the mask in your hair for about 20 min, and then take a shower and shampoo and condition your hair like normal. When you wake up (or after your hair dries) you'll see that your hair is shinier and smoother.</span></span><br />

It is easy, takes little time, and looks beautiful! Another thing I love about it is that it keeps my hair out my face. We all have moments when we contemplate chopping all of our hair off, and then we talk ourselves out of it. If my hair is up in a braid, I don't feel like it is getting in the way.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zkYho5cgwao/U6j6u6bi_KI/AAAAAAAAAgc/0US2OxDUaO4/s1600/mmb1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zkYho5cgwao/U6j6u6bi_KI/AAAAAAAAAgc/0US2OxDUaO4/s1600/mmb1.jpg" height="320" width="254" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Start by dividing your hair into two equal sections.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nENG_VgBaJ4/U6j62QakxXI/AAAAAAAAAgk/X_4IBIEEJRo/s1600/mmb2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nENG_VgBaJ4/U6j62QakxXI/AAAAAAAAAgk/X_4IBIEEJRo/s1600/mmb2.jpg" height="320" width="208" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Next braid your hair into two braids. Braid your hair going under (Dutch style), not over. This will prevent your braid from popping out from your head. Secure the braids with an elastic, preferably with clear elastics. I don't have any on hand, so I used yellow.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mTzd2FvmQLE/U6j7Q5zJ08I/AAAAAAAAAgs/UHyzICuHKGU/s1600/mmb3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mTzd2FvmQLE/U6j7Q5zJ08I/AAAAAAAAAgs/UHyzICuHKGU/s1600/mmb3.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Take one braid and bring it across your head, securing with several bobby pins on the other side of your head.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ey9jxqk5a_w/U6j7dhiHabI/AAAAAAAAAg0/-iMayLzeIhI/s1600/mmb5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ey9jxqk5a_w/U6j7dhiHabI/AAAAAAAAAg0/-iMayLzeIhI/s1600/mmb5.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Do the same with the other braid, so that you get a crown. My hair is long, so I use a lot of bobby pins and hair spray to keep everything in place.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DGey0R3mbkg/U6j7pPFYpeI/AAAAAAAAAg8/YQx4-lcI1Lo/s1600/mmb4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DGey0R3mbkg/U6j7pPFYpeI/AAAAAAAAAg8/YQx4-lcI1Lo/s1600/mmb4.jpg" height="320" width="279" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Here is the finished look! It is perfect for summer because it keeps your hair off your back and out of the way. If I'm feeling fancy sometimes I braid a piece of ribbon into my braids to make my hair look more formal.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">As Always,</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Summer is a time when you can get crazy with your hair! Try using temporary dye on the tips of your hair or on a couple streaks. Go to the hair salon and tell them to style your hair however they want. Whenever I get a trim I do this and I'm never disappointed.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Recently I have been going to Ulta, Walgreens, Target, etc. a lot looking for makeup products that were affordable and worth my money. Some of the items I bought were the ones above, and I have mixed reviews on them. The first is NYX's <a href="http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/p-229-butter-lipstick.aspx" target="_blank">Sugar Wafer</a>. This is the one on the far left. The packaging is very compact and sleek looking, but it does have a lot of writing on it. I like the plastic part because it shows what the color looks like and once again adds sleekness to the packaging. The pigmentation is very strong, and it goes on very creamy. It lasts for about 2-3 hours and is very moist and light. It doesn't feel like a lipstick at all. The color itself is a nice light peach color that would compliment any skin tone and any face type. This NYX butter was $6 at my local Ulta. The next lipstick is the NYX <a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod2150072&skuId=2202880&_requestid=351965" target="_blank">Indian Pink</a> lipstick. It is $3.99, and I love it! It is a coral color that would compliment anyone with any skin tone. It is highly pigmented, so if you put too much on it tends to look frosty. For people with pale skin and with a light coat it would look natural, whereas people with olive or deep skin tones it would come off as more vibrant. It doesn't last for that long, but overall I like it. The packaging on this lip stick is my favorite because it is simple and is the most classic. The next lip stick is the <a href="http://www.target.com/p/maybelline-color-whisper-by-color-sensational-lipcolor-0-11-oz/-/A-14328366" target="_blank">Made it Mauve</a> by Maybelline. The first thing that I thought about it when I tried it on was that the smell was amazing! It smells like candy :). The color is not pigmented at all, it is quite sheer. Personally I don't like dark, vibrant colors in the summer, so I really like this kind. It really makes your eyes pop, and comes off as a nice deep purple color. It acts kind of like a stain, because it stays on for a long time. I bought mine at Target for $5.99. NYX lip products can tend to look cakey, whereas this has never done that. The last lipstick/chapstick is the Baby Lip's <a href="http://www.maybelline.com/Products/Lip-Makeup/Lip-Balm/baby-lips.aspx" target="_blank">Pink Punch</a>. I think the packaging is super cute and is $3.99. Is it worth it? Ehhhh.... I have four of these, and they actually dry out my lips. I can't add too much of the product either or else my lips will be barbie pink. The problem is that ht lips get dry and I want a lot of moisturizer! The color doesn't last all that long either. Out of all of these it is my least favorite, but I will bring it with me to the beach or in my purse because it is the least "formal." Should you buy it? I would recommend <a href="http://www.maybelline.com/Products/Lip-Makeup/Lip-Balm/baby-lips.aspx" target="_blank">Peach Kiss</a>, because it is more subtle and you can apply it more liberally.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Here are some swatches of the products. The first one on the left (hot pink) is the Baby Lips. I applied 4-5 layers of each product to show the amount of pigmentation it gives off. The next color is the Color Whisper, then the NYX in Indian Pink, and then the NYX butter in sugar wafer. The camera did not project the NYX Indian Pink well, because it is not red at all. It is a mix of peach and coral. It is also shimmery.</span></span><br />

This is my first post using my own photos, and I would like to do more of these in the future! </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">We will all be traveling to water this summer, and there are some things you should bring! The first is a durable bag that can be tossed in the sand or get drenched in water (you never know when you'll get thrown in water, bag and all). Another thing to bring is a beach towel. There are some bags that are a bag and towel all in one, but I like to keep them separate.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-blLf15aKmzk/U6UKeVPGp2I/AAAAAAAAAXo/Mrha5mtzSFA/s1600/L1040971.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-blLf15aKmzk/U6UKeVPGp2I/AAAAAAAAAXo/Mrha5mtzSFA/s1600/L1040971.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LbXKBsEZ1TY/U6UKmgwahXI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/G3vEJErStC4/s1600/L1040993.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LbXKBsEZ1TY/U6UKmgwahXI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/G3vEJErStC4/s1600/L1040993.JPG" height="267" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">In my beach bag I keep a small bag that holds smaller items that I don't want to leak or get lost. The first is obviously sun screen. I like Hawaiian Tropic because it smells amazing! Remember, any SPF over around 30 really doesn't do anything, so getting SPF 85 is no better than SPF 30. Also, spray sunscreen doesn't work as well as the lotion, which I know sucks, but you don't want skin cancer! I also bring some sort of sun relief with me. I always apply this where I am prone to sunburns when the day is over. It doesn't prevent them, but it soothes them. Another thing I put in the bag is chapstick with SPF in it. Along with chapstick I bring face lotion. This seems weird, but my face gets super dry in the sun and I hate the feeling of dry skin. I also bring some hand cream or body butter. This way I can put some on and carry on with my day.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Another beach bag item is tanning lotion/oil. Make sure you use this sparingly! I personally only use it when I'll be relaxing all day and won't be very active. Since most tanning products have a very low amount of SPF in them, make sure you wear your sunscreen. To make small touch ups I bring a compact mirror and some powder.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GEui6O2V57w/U6Wiz_N-EZI/AAAAAAAAAYg/bQNPD-9TyZI/s1600/L1040977.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GEui6O2V57w/U6Wiz_N-EZI/AAAAAAAAAYg/bQNPD-9TyZI/s1600/L1040977.JPG" height="316" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wLk4BN2Nu9A/U6Wi4rAGG1I/AAAAAAAAAYo/BjyrtwRdnE8/s1600/L1040979.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wLk4BN2Nu9A/U6Wi4rAGG1I/AAAAAAAAAYo/BjyrtwRdnE8/s1600/L1040979.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I also need a good pair of sunglasses. When I go in the water I take them off but when I'm lounging around it is good to keep the sun out of my eyes.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">It is always important to stay hydrated and nourished. I bring life water because normal water bores me and I also bring plenty of food. Make sure to bring things that don't melt, because they would make a mess. Stick with items like goldfish, non-chocolate granola bars (or any other type of bar that doesn't melt), and things like dried fruit.</span></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XsYuE52X-m0/U6WkM9DNC_I/AAAAAAAAAY0/Me32EWWsBjQ/s1600/L1040983.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XsYuE52X-m0/U6WkM9DNC_I/AAAAAAAAAY0/Me32EWWsBjQ/s1600/L1040983.JPG" height="250" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Before I leave the house I also bring a good beach book and a magazine.This way when I'm not swimming I have something to do.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P-kWZz77b7o/U6WkYhw7LCI/AAAAAAAAAY8/N1tGyqoI678/s1600/L1040976.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P-kWZz77b7o/U6WkYhw7LCI/AAAAAAAAAY8/N1tGyqoI678/s1600/L1040976.JPG" height="320" width="291" /></a></span></span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Along with my bathing suit I like to bring an oversized T-shirt to put on when I'm not swimming. This way I can minimize the amount of sunburn I get. I sometimes bring an iPod depending on if I'm going alone or not. Another obvious
thing I bring is my phone, mostly to just to see what time it is once
in awhile. I also bring a wallet and gum. Usually I never need any money, but you never know. Gum is always good because you'll have fresh breath for whoever comes by.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

My life has been super hectic, but I am back and ready to start blogging! For many of us summer vacation is finally here, and you most likely will be doing some day trips or road trips. If you're like me, then you like to be prepared for a day in the car. A typical road trip for me is around 6-8 hours in the car, but this summer I'll be going all the way to Maine (from Colorado). On average that is about 9 hours in the car for three days. This could either be hell, or loads of fun! Before you start your road trip make sure you have eaten a healthy meal. There is nothing worse than being on the road with an upset stomach because you had pancakes and bacon before you left. I usually have a bagel thin with peanut butter on one half and an egg on the other. Also make sure that your car is clean on the outside and inside. Trust me, your car will get dirty, but you want to keep it clean for as long as possible.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> On the road I like to bring a large tote bag with me. Currently I use a woven juice box bag from barnes and noble.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/s/000/77/66/36e9_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/s/000/77/66/36e9_2.JPG" height="200" width="150" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I like a bag that is big enough to fit all the things I need. Now in whatever bag you choose, make sure you have plenty of water. I like SoBe LifeWater, but I also keep regular water with me as well. Personally I don't like warm water, so I make sure to keep my water in an insulated water bottle. Another essential is snacks. Make sure you bring things that don't melt, because it can get hot in the car when you turn it off to go somewhere. My go to snack of choice are kind bars, because they are healthy and tasty. Other options are homemade trail mix, freeze dried fruit (I love the strawberry kind from Trader Joe's), any kind of granola bar, or fresh fruit (if you eat them early into the ride). We keep a cooler in the back for our main meals, but I like to have my own selection with me. Especially if you're the one driving you want to stay energized. Try to limit the caffeine, because then you won't have to stop at the nearest restroom every half hour. Opt for drinks like SoBe Life Water or Zevia. Zevia is a natural, zero calorie soda that comes in flavors like root beer and cream soda. On road trips try to stay healthy, because once you get to where you're going you'll probably be eating not the best things for you. </span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> Entertainment is another must have. Before we leave I make playlists on my phone full of music I love. Each day we listen to a different playlist so we don't get tired of the songs. I also download several audiobooks to enjoy. If you don't get motion sick I would recommend bringing books or magazines to look at.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JbNOufio0X4/UKZvOHyym6I/AAAAAAAADoE/fGGxSBs4VbY/s1600/1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JbNOufio0X4/UKZvOHyym6I/AAAAAAAADoE/fGGxSBs4VbY/s1600/1.jpg" height="200" width="101" /></a></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> In the tote I bring I pack a small bag full of items I may or may not need. In this is hand cream, hand sanitizer, Advil, motion sickness bracelets, lip balm, and plenty of gum! I also like to bring a Polaroid camera so I can take pictures and have them created immediately. This way when I get to the hotel I can put it into my travel journal. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I also bring sunglasses, phone chargers, my iPad, my phone, my wallet, and fuzzy socks or slippers. I usually wear flip flops in the car so I can easily take them off and throw on something more comfortable. Along with the theme of comfort I bring a pillow. I'm not a fan of those things that wrap around your neck, I find them really uncomfortable. I also bring plenty of blankets. It can be hard to find the perfect temp in the car, so I usually leave the AC on and throw on a blanket. Another thing I bring that I usually forget is headphones. This way if others don't want to listen to my music I can listen to it by myself.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> If I have room in my tote I like to pack a sweatshirt and leggings. I usually start the day wearing a T-Shirt and shorts, but sometimes by the end of the day I want something more cozy. I also don't wear much makeup on road trips. I want to feel free, not smothered in makeup. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.360psg.com/content/images/landing_pages/niagara-falls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://www.360psg.com/content/images/landing_pages/niagara-falls.jpg" height="133" width="200" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> It is also fun to have planned stops to do things along the way to your destination. Before I leave I list out different attractions that are along our route. These may be famous restaurants, tourist attractions like Gettysburg, or something like the world's biggest tennis ball sculpture. On this sheet I also have a schedule on where we should be approximately at different times of the day.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! I'm working on different posts and am starting a cooking/baking page! Eventually I would like to have a separate blog devoted to just cooking/baking. I have also updated my shopping page so be sure to check it out!</span></span><br />

If you're not in the states, then I'm sorry if this post is a little late. Even if you don't celebrate Easter, it is still fun to put on happy and light makeup with a cute outfit. This makeup and outfit(s) are perfect for any day in spring, not just on Easter! For the makeup, start with your regular foundation and powder routine. Start by applying primer to your eyelids. Using a white color, brush it onto the lid of your eye (stopping at the crease). Next, take a light pink and lightly brush it into your crease. Whenever you're applying eye makeup, apply in a way so that it almost tickles. You never want to rub it, because it can irritate your eyes and cause premature aging. When both colors are blended in and there is no odd line of pink on your crease, apply a thin line of gel liner, winging it out at the end. Next apply a pink blush to your cheeks, because now that its spring time we can put away the deep red colors. For your lips, apply any light colored lip stick/gloss you would like (I used <a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5890353&skuId=2260821&CID=af_10547009_2178999_#" target="_blank">Baby Lips</a>, in Pink Me Up). This look is flirty and fun, without being too over the top. When it comes to outfits, the options are endless! </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UmqR_42OHOU/U1LlqcXROhI/AAAAAAAAAS0/RjaO6YIZ1WY/s1600/Easter+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UmqR_42OHOU/U1LlqcXROhI/AAAAAAAAAS0/RjaO6YIZ1WY/s1600/Easter+1.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">This outfit is perfect if it is a warm day. The <a href="http://www.rarelondon.com/pleated-skirt-with-chain-belt.html?awc=5664_1397941766_ac9a912922e0609f2f51b4dac721f243&utm_source=AWin&utm_medium=Banner&utm_campaign=AffiliateWindow" target="_blank">high low skirt </a>adds a color to the outfit while the<a href="http://www.polyvore.com/white_lace_sleeveless_crop_top/thing?id=81839531" target="_blank"> lace </a>crop top makes the look dainty and feminine. The <a href="http://www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/Chinese-Laundry-Womens-Criss-Cross-Cork-Wedge-Sandals/8050896/product.html?refccid=OJNUGQFT4IE36H2LBVY42WNERM&searchidx=10" target="_blank">wedges</a> complete this look by adding dimension. Each piece has a unique pattern or texture giving a 3D look.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N2seJpOLBNo/U1Ln0w_lcTI/AAAAAAAAATA/LEn4rKAeiJ4/s1600/Easter+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N2seJpOLBNo/U1Ln0w_lcTI/AAAAAAAAATA/LEn4rKAeiJ4/s1600/Easter+2.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I am in love with this next outfit! For me it is always a struggle to put away my winter boots, because I love how they feel and look on me.<a href="http://www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/Aerosoles-Womens-Bectify-Regular-Suede-Casual-Shoes/7733981/product.html?refccid=HRKCDHDYNKG3XU2HWNWWWQINM4&searchidx=18" target="_blank"> Flats </a>make the transition easier though because anyone can rock them. This <a href="http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/new-vintage-sleeveless-dress-round-neck-floral/159500752.html" target="_blank">dress</a> is adorable, and is $18. Nothing sings spring more than floral, which is why this dress caught my attention. With the built in black band, it will automatically make your waist look smaller. Here is a tip: when you wear belts, wear them where a crop top would be (where the model above has hers). Try and wear thick belts when you do this and your waist will look slimmer. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> Not all of the links are to the exact clothing item. I try and find close matches that are just as cute! Also, many links are to overstock.com because they are affordable and have good quality items. I hope you all have a great Easter! </span></span><br />

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170326013619573114.post-72523525704301146922014-03-17T19:17:00.005-06:002014-06-18T23:27:58.312-06:00Recreate Demi Lovato!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Demi Lovato does not only have an amazing voice, but she inspires everyone around her. Her fashion sense usually leans towards punk/indie, and in this outfit it is more indie. It is almost spring, which means time to start putting away the jeans! I will be adding a slight twist to the outfit by making the top a crop top. Crop tops can look intimidating, but any body type can pull them off. This skirt is versatile, so you can make it high waisted simply by pulling it up as far as you want.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">This outfit is also very affordable, and you can take and add many pieces. If it is warm, you can take away the jean jacket. You can switch out the shoes for flats if you are doing a lot of walking. The overall look of the outfit is very free spirited. The skirt is light and flowy, and you can show off just the right amount of skin. </span></span><br />

I was 12, and it was a glitter eyeshadow palette (10 colors) that was being sold at Walgreens for a $1. It opened me up to makeup and beauty in general. I didn't realize it then, but makeup and beauty products in general can get quite pricey. A lip gloss can cost up to $32! Lucky for you, I have been on the lookout for cheap, yet equally stylish alternatives to pricey products. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wqtnMfAYSl0/UxzvSW9pQWI/AAAAAAAAAQI/rpgb8c2uJTY/s1600/Vaseline.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wqtnMfAYSl0/UxzvSW9pQWI/AAAAAAAAAQI/rpgb8c2uJTY/s1600/Vaseline.jpg" height="150" width="200" /></a> The first hack is Vaseline. I have talked about the many uses of this item in previous posts, and it is making a appearance again! Rub this on your wrist, and spray on a body mist or perfume. The scent lasts a long time, and you won't have to go out and but for scents all the time. </span></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.bellamiraessentialoils.com/images/singles%20bottles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://www.bellamiraessentialoils.com/images/singles%20bottles.jpg" height="126" width="200" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Going along with the scents idea, perfumes and body sprays can be quite expensive. Why not make your own? You can buy essential oils at any health food store (ex: Whole Foods), and by making a ratio of water to oil, you can make your own scent. My personal favorite is grapefruit, because it smells good and is supposed to make you joyful. (tip: if you have a headache or stomach ache, put a drop of peppermint oil on your tongue. If it is a stomach ache, also put a drop on your stomach. I was on a plane with no Advil and had a major headache, and for some reason I had peppermint oil. I used this, and my headache went right away.) </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> Lipstick. Always reapplying, and reapplying some more. Before you know it, the product is either gone, or you've lost it. Every time you put more on, the less there is. Before putting any color on your lips, put foundation on it. Yes, you'll temporarily look like a ghost. Then, apply the color. The foundation acts like a glue, and whenever you eat, drink, or lick your lips, the color will stay on longer. </span></span><br />
